I have been doing this for thirteen years, and the thing that has never changed is what happens when a woman sits in my chair.

I see her. Not the reference photos she brought, not the version of herself she has been taught to want, but her, the actual architecture of her face, the way she looks when she stops performing and simply is. Something in me responds to it. I have never been able to fully explain this, only that beauty in women moves me, and the work is my way of answering it.

So I do not transform faces. I have never been interested in that. What I do is quieter and, I think, rarer. I bring a woman forward until she is unmistakably herself, at her most realized, and then I get out of the way so everyone else can finally see what the people who love her have always seen.

This is why I begin with the skin. Why I build with restraint. Why I would rather you not be able to name a single product on your face, because the moment you can, the face has been interrupted. Bone structure is permanent. Light is permanent. The way you look when you laugh is permanent. I build for those, and I let the trends pass through the room like weather.

I work with a small number of brides each year, and I lead every wedding myself. What I do cannot be delegated. It is the way I see, and it is different for every face, because no two women have ever been the same.
